Help Masoud to fight Cancer

Hi, I’m Heidi and I’m setting up this page on behalf of my brother and his beautiful family. Masoud, a loving husband, and father of two beautiful daughters, was diagnosed with Metastaic melanoma (Liver, Skeletal, pelvic) on March 1st. It was devastating news for all of us.

With his work and as an active member of the community where he lives, Masoud makes a significant difference in the lives of those he encounters. All of his actions are characterized by energy, compassion, and generosity. Masoud has always been the kind person you go to whenever you have a problem.

Leila, Masoud’s wife, has stopped working to become his primary carer. We ask you, with heavy hearts, to please consider donating today and passing this message along to others. The money will be spent on Ipilimumab, a medication that works to activate the immune system by targeting CTLA-4, a protein receptor that downregulates the immune system and helps to slow down the growth of Masoud's liver and bone tumours. This drug is not funded in New Zealand and costs about $82,000.
