Run for Us 2024
A Fun Run Fundraiser for Newlands Intermediate.

Newlands Intermediate School's annual “Run for Us” event will be held this year on Thursday 28 March. The day before Good Friday and the Easter break.
This is a major fundraising event for our school but just as importantly it provides an opportunity for our students to set goals focussed on a physical activity. The Run for Us encourages community participation in a fun event and fosters one of our core school values – participation and effort.
Our fundraising efforts this year are focused on providing new and good quality sports and recreation equipment and providing equal opportunities for all students to participate in school-wide events, upgrading musical instruments, and purchasing equipment to broaden our curriculum.
Every year we set our circuit at 500m which means that our students will be able to complete measurable distances i.e. 2 laps = 1 kilometre, 42 laps = 21km = a half marathon!
Students will run or walk throughout the day and keep a tally of how many laps they have achieved.
Please consider sponsoring one of our students as recognition of the distance they will cover or simply make a donation.

What a day! 4 April 2024
Congratulations to every student who participated in our event. The students of Newlands Intermediate covered 10,836.5km during the day. The winningest class of the day was room 12- as a class, they covered 777.5 km. In our 12 years of Run for Us, This is the highest number of kilometres for an individual class.
Ryan and Joey, pictured, ran 100 laps each. 50kms!!!!
